Map of Entire Voyage
On Silk, from 1992-1995, we completed an Atlantic circle and then a tropical west-about circumnavigation via the Panama canal and the Cape of Good Hope.
On Hawk, from 2000-2007, we completed an Atlantic shakedown trip up to Newfoundland, down to the Caribbean and then up to Iceland above the Arctic Circle. Once we were sure we and Hawk were suited to cold weather sailing, we embarked on a double-traverse of the Chilean canals. Then we completed an east-about circumnavigation by way of the 5 Great Southern Capes.

Blue
You had to seek the sea.
I should 've known by its reflection in your eyes.
Your blue gaze splashing me.
But, I'm losing you in the sea.
You sail into the mist - evaporate - your soul soaring
Until blue is all that's left me.
Deep blue sea.
Wide blue sky.
Wise blue eyes.
For a time I can see them shine!
Then blue merges with blue - horizon lost.
I cannot follow past that line.
The sea seethes with our tears.
While you are bathed by blue
I am consumed by it,
And submerged beneath my fears.
The wind is our pulse now.
It blows kisses and whispers confidences.
It is the only thing we share over such a chasm of blue,
While I wait endlessly for you.
